Summary/Objective: The Environmental Health & Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company's environmental, health, and safety programs including but not limited to: DOT, Sustainability, Environmental, and Industrial Hygiene. The Environmental Health & Safety Manager will ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies, while cultivating a proactive safety culture and environmental responsibility within the organization. Develop and implement comprehensive EH&S programs, policies, and procedures aligned with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
Establish EH&S performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EH&S outcomes to align with corporate EH&S objectives.
Lead and develop the EH&S team, including hiring, performance management, and professional development.
Design and deliver EH&S training programs to educate team members on relevant EH&S topics, including hazard recognition, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance.
Ensure training records are maintained and documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and internal EH&S regulations and policies.
Manage regulatory inspections, audits, and reporting requirements.
Maintain necessary permits and ensure timely renewals.
Oversee incident reporting, investigations, and root cause analyses to identify corrective actions and prevent reoccurrence.
Track and trend incident data to identify areas for improvement and prioritize EH&S initiatives.
Develop and implement risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and corrective actions to eliminate or minimize hazards.
Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and non-compliances.
Facilitate and participate in EH&S related activities to ensure compliance- including emergency response, safety committees, and first responder training.
Working Conditions:
Primarily working indoors, office environment within a manufacturing environment.
Walking around the plant floor
Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.
Qualifications:
B.S. in environmental, health, and safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, or a related field or equivalent mix of experience of education and professional experience.
5+ years of experience in an EHS role in a manufacturing environment

Develop and communicate a strategic vision for the company's EH&S programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Act as a subject matter expert and advisor on EH&S matters to senior leadership team, members, and other stakeholders.
Build and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and EH&S professionals to stay informed of emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainable business practices and enhance the company's environmental reputation.
