An established construction firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Superintendent specializing in concrete construction. This role is ideal for a proven leader who can successfully manage complex projects from start to finish with precision and strong leadership. This is a full-time, onsite position — hands-on involvement is essential.
As a Senior Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring concrete construction projects are executed to the highest standards. From planning and scheduling through final installation, you will focus on maintaining safety, quality, and project deadlines while leading teams to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage concrete construction projects, ensuring all phases are completed on time and within budget.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire project teams, including foremen, crews, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Maintain strong communication and coordination with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to meet all project requirements.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, fostering a safe work environment.
- Monitor project milestones, quality control, and adherence to specifications and client expectations.
- Oversee project budgets, manage costs, and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
- Proactively address and resolve project challenges, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Conduct site inspections and status meetings to track progress and implement improvements.
- Prepare detailed reports on project status, budgets, and completion tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience as a Superintendent managing large-scale concrete construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of concrete construction processes, materials, equipment, and safety practices.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate large teams.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Proficiency in construction management software for planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in fast-paced project environments.
- Current OSHA certification with a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
