National Account Manager

Remote, Remote

Our client is expanding their team and is seeking a National Account Manager to drive sales and category growth of our Generator product line with major national retailers in the DIY, Big Box, and Farm & Fleet markets. This role is responsible for managing key corporate-level customer relationships, developing account-specific strategies, and expanding sales through growth of both core products and new product placement.

The successful candidate will... 

  • Strategically align with company goals and objectives and execute business plans within assigned National Retail accounts.

  • Bring a proven track record of success managing large Retail accounts, with a strong understanding of how each account operates - from systems and processes to buyer and merchandiser expectations.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, merchandisers, and category managers.

  • Drive profitable sales growth through line expansion, promotional programs, and new product placement.

  • Analyze sales data, monitor performance, and be ready to act on trends to maximize account potential.

  • Partner with Product Management and Marketing to align features, positioning, and packaging with retailer requirements.

  • Lead category and line reviews with key accounts and present new product opportunities tailored to customer needs and merchandising strategies.

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and promotional agreements to achieve volume and margin goals. Understand and navigate each account’s unique systems, processes, and compliance standards.

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure product availability and timely delivery.

If you have 5+ years of experience in National Account Management / Key Account Sales, a Bachelor’s Degree in a related course of study and know Generators, Outdoor Power Equipment, or Pressure Washers… let’s talk!
