Now Hiring: Facilities Engineer – Heavy Manufacturing
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to lead maintenance operations within a heavy manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of all plant equipment, utilities, and infrastructure while leading a team of skilled maintenance technicians.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with strong reliability engineering skills, a passion for continuous improvement, and a proven track record of driving uptime and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
As Facilities Engineer, you will:
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing coaching, training, and performance leadership
- Own preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Maintain critical spare parts inventory and equipment readiness
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities in coordination with production and engineering
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using root cause analysis and reliability best practices
- Enforce OSHA, EPA, and facility safety compliance standards
- Manage vendors and contractors for outsourced maintenance, repairs, and installations
- Support capital projects including equipment upgrades, facility expansions, and infrastructure improvements
- Maintain maintenance records, inspections, and asset histories using CMMS systems
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance and root cause failure analysis
- Experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with CMMS systems for work orders, PMs, and asset management
- Solid understanding of OSHA, EPA, and NFPA safety standards
- Experience with TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing principles
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in heavy manufacturing or industrial environments
- 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Experience with capital projects, equipment installations, or facility upgrades
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related technical field preferred
- Trade school graduates with strong field experience encouraged to apply
Preferred Certifications:
CMRP, OSHA 30, Electrical License, Millwright, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing
