Engineering Leader
We are searching for an experienced Engineering Leader to join a growing manufacturing organization and lead a team of 7 to 9 engineers across two facilities.
This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for a results-oriented engineering professional who can develop high-performing teams, execute complex capital projects, and deliver measurable improvements in plant performance.
The Engineering Leader will help shape the organization’s engineering strategy while driving improvements in safety, quality, reliability, throughput, cost, automation, and asset utilization.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading, mentoring, and developing engineers across two manufacturing facilities
• Building organizational capability through coaching, succession planning, and technical development
• Establishing engineering priorities, performance expectations, standards, and best practices
• Leading process optimization, troubleshooting, equipment reliability, and manufacturing improvement initiatives
• Providing technical oversight for automation, process controls, and manufacturing technology
• Developing engineering roadmaps, performance metrics, and improvement strategies
• Leading capital projects from initial concept through installation and startup
• Preparing project scopes, budgets, schedules, ROI analyses, and capital requests
• Managing contractors, engineering firms, equipment suppliers, and other technical resources
• Partnering with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, and senior leadership
• Managing engineering budgets and ensuring responsible capital investment
• Working effectively with ERP, SCADA, and engineering scheduling systems
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
• At least 10 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or a related industrial environment
• At least three years of engineering leadership experience with responsibility for developing technical teams
• Demonstrated success in process improvement, equipment reliability, automation, and capital project execution
• Hands-on experience supporting manufacturing operations in an industrial environment
• Professional Engineer license is strongly preferred and highly valued
